For
God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a
sound mind. ~ II Tim 1:7
This
Day in Christian History:
1782: The two-day massacre of the Moravian Indian town of
Gnadenhutten begins. Ohio militiamen committed a massive killing of Indians in
retaliation for Indian raids in the Territory. 96 of these Indians were
Christian Indians of the Delaware tribe.
1825: Birth of Alfred Edersheim. Born a Jew, Alfred converted to
Christianity before the age of twenty. He became a great Bible scholar and
later published "The Life and Times of Jesus the Messiah".
1867: Birth of Peter Cameron Scott. In 1895, Peter organized a
moment and led the first band of missionaries to Kenya. He died in Africa the
following year, at the age of 29, of blackwater fever.Still, his life and heart
for Kenya left a lasting impact. The African Inland Mission was born, and over
700 missionaries have followed his call to Africa.

Writer’s
Corner:
“With no apologies for my
directness…a lie from the pit of hell is that your life is a failure and no one
cares about you unless you are #1 in the world’s eyes and that God is
disappointed with you and every time you read the parable of the talents, you
feel worse.”
A great article for writers on The
Trajectory Principle by agent Dan Balow. If you’re a
writer, read this.
Enjoy your weekend, everyone!
